How It Works:

The total cost for a whole lamb is approximately $450, which includes slaughtering and custom butchering into cuts of your choice. Here’s the step-by-step process:

  1. Place Your Order: A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required prior to slaughter.
  2. Notification: We will contact you when the lamb has been sent to the butcher.
  3. Pick Up: The butcher will contact you directly for pick-up at their facility in either Elk Grove, CA or Jackson, Ca. 
  4. Final Payment: The remaining balance will be paid directly to the butcher when you pick-up (range $150 to $175 depending on which butcher you select).
  5. Processing Timeline: The entire process takes 3 to 5 weeks, depending on the time of year.

Yield and Value:

A whole lamb typically results in 30 to 45 pounds of finished meat, depending on the size of the animal. This includes a variety of cuts such as chops, roasts, shanks, and ground lamb. You’ll have the opportunity to work with the butcher to customize the cuts to your preference.

Cost Per Pound: The final cost works out to be approximately $11 to $15 per pound, depending on the final weight of the animal. This is an incredible value for premium, pasture-raised lamb.
